Reporting to the General Counsel, the Associate Counsel will assist in delivering first class legal support to the various teams. Primary Responsibilities 
• Structure and negotiate equipment supply, EPC, O&M, lease, power purchase, performance guarantee and warranty agreements with commercial customers for solar, energy storage and solar + storage projects 
• Provide a first level review of various contracts, agreements and other legal documents, preparing redline comments to review with General Counsel 
• Review and negotiate nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements with vendors and business partners, elevating complicated issues to the General Counsel 
• Work with the General Counsel to ensure quality, clarity and consistency across all legal documentation 
Basic Qualifications 
• Location: Tallahassee Florida with some travel required
• Juris Doctor 
• A current license to practice in one or more US jurisdictions 
• A minimum of 5 years in-house experience, focusing on Project Finance, commercial real estate and commercial lending, preferably in the energy industry
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts 
• A team player with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, make complex cost/benefit assessments, and identify pragmatic/creative legal and business solutions 
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively and to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment 
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization 
• Excellent negotiation and communications skills 
• Administrative and managerial skills
