Meet & greet your fellow members and FAWL chapter and state leaders in a special cocktail reception on the roof patio (weather permitting) of the Hotel Duval. Registration includes hors d'oeuvres and one drink ticket. A full cash bar will be available.

Florida Anti-Human Trafficking Legislation
Full buffet breakfast.
In this comprehensive and interactive workshop, three leaders of Florida's anti-human trafficking efforts will explore what has been accomplished and then define the work that still needs to be done to protect victims and prevent human trafficking in the state. They will examine what is happening on the state, federal and international levels. The co-chairs of FAWL's Legislative & Lobby Days Committee will brief participants on key goals of the upcoming lobbying efforts and effective strategies for success.

An overview of the process to be taken by Florida's 2017-2018 Constitutional Revision Commission. President D'Alemberte will provide insight into the logistics and process governing the commission's work in the coming year.

Wednesday Supreme Court Oral Arguments (Optional)

Take advantage of this opportunity with some of the greatness legal minds in the country argue their case before the highest Court in the State. (Subject to the Court's calendar.)

Wednesday Investiture of Florida Supreme Court Justice C. Alan Lawson
On December 16, 2016, Gov. Rick Scott appointed C. Alan Lawson, Chief Judge of the Fifth District Court of Appeal. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Justice James E.C. Perry. This is a unique opportunity to witness the formal installation of the the 86th Justice of the Florida Supreme Court.
**The ceremony is open to the public, and there is a very limited number of seats available for FAWL members. Advance reservations are suggested, but we are unable to confirm the availability of seating. Transportation will not be provided to this event.
