Welcome to the Florida Association for Women Lawyers

President Johnson with TWL President O'Steen   Established in 1951, the Association serves as the statewide voice for Florida's women lawyers and a communication resource for its 23 chapters throughout the state of Florida. Each local chapter is an independent voluntary bar association, but its members, by enrolling in the local Chapter, also become members of FAWL.

FAWL’s mission is to actively promote gender equality and the leadership roles of FAWL’s members in the legal profession, judiciary and community at large.  To achieve these goals, FAWL will uphold the highest standard of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession, promote reform in law, and facilitate administration of justice.

(L-R) Tallahassee Women Lawyers Receives the "Outstanding Chapter Programming Award" at the 2008 Midyear Meeting. FAWL President Sherri Johnson, Secretary Robert A. Butterworth, FL Dept. of Children & Families, and Tallahassee Women Lawyers President Chasity O'Steen.
